Gifts from the Universe
During a profound spiritual journey, a woman concentrates all of her efforts into expanding herself to receive blessings from the Universe. Yes, she understands that life already wants to give her everything; all she needs to do is expand and allow abundance to manifest. But there is an invisible force subtly pulling her off course…
Growing up with a family that gave her all she wanted and needed, she experienced the feeling of receiving and, in return, she did not do much. What she did was simple: Be a person who brought joy, love, and recognised the huge value her love offered to the world. And this was enough — she was enough. It was not necessary to immediately give back.
As the years passed by, adulthood welcomed her with a new — and harmful — paradigm: You've got to work for your dreams. Our way of living intensively teaches us (and taught her) not to expect anything from anyone or luck from the world. In her head she could hear the eerie whisper: “Make it happen, don't wait for it to come to you.”
How has she transmuted from an open, expansive child, into a closed, limited adult? Well, that has been a slow, soft process… And many of us go through it without even noticing.
The Universe, though, will keep trying to show us how much it can give. Luck falls into place, people show up with gifts, signs arrive from all over the place… One of the big signs we have around us is nature. Mother Nature is a reminder that abundance is everywhere; we just need to open up to receive its blessings.
Has it ever happened to you that a dear person tried to give you a valuable gift, and you felt ashamed? Your first thought would have been “why do they think I am worthy of this?”. Many of us end up rejecting the blessing, as we truly believe we are not enough, or because we are unable to give back. Who actually asked us to give anything back? Remember the child of our story: She naturally gives back to the world just by existing.
One of the things that makes me expand and receive more is experiment with new activities and places. I am able to see the infinite experiences the world provides, making me feel small. But this time, for some reason, I more clearly see that I am enough. In that moment, I allow the Universe to give me more. That is one of the reasons why I love travelling. I step out of my shell and become more open to receive. You should try it too.
What makes you expand and receive gifts from the world?
Open up. The Universe is ready to reward you.
